Der Rattenfänger von Hameln

Published: June 17, 2009

The German saga Der Rattenfänger von Hameln (known in English as "The Rat-Catcher of Hamelin") tells the story of a town called Hameln that was infested with rats! One day, a man who called himself the Rattenfänger came and used a magical flute to lure all of the town's rats into a nearby lake. But when the Bürgermeister (mayor) of Hameln refused to pay the Rattenfänger, the rats came back and the Rattenfänger refused to work! Rats love to sing and dance!
