A Day with Lesnoe Ozero!
Published: August 5, 2017
Yesterday we celebrated a day with Lesnoe Ozero, the Russian camp. After lunch, they arrived at Waldsee and the festivities got started with a simulation debating whether or not Deutschland (Germany) should send Lenin back to Russia after the February Revolution.
The LKTs (four week villagers) from Waldsee and all of Lesnoe Ozero took part in the simulation in two different groups: one in the Gasthof (dining hall) and one in the BioHaus. The group in the Gasthof decided not to send Lenin back to Russia, while the group in the BioHaus decided to send him back.
After the simulation was finished, everyone gathered on Berndt’s Buhne (Berndt’s Stage) for a Lieder und Tanz Austausch (song and dance exchange).
Then, we had Festessen (festival food) and an Abendprogramm (evening program). In the Abendprogramm, everyone was divided up into groups of both Waldsee and Lesnoe Ozero villagers. They had to go around to different stations to get keys and find out where Lenin was hiding.
Finally, we all danced and ate ice cream on the Marktplatz before saying goodnight and goodbye to Lesnoe Ozero. We can’t wait to see them again on International Day!
