With our very first summer session starting today, we know that many first time Villagers (and parents!) are wondering what to expect when they first arrive at Waldsee. Going away to camp for the first time - especially one that happens in a foreign language - can be a daunting task. Knowing a little bit more about what to expect on the first day can definitely help to ease some of the nerves though.
So, what exactly can you expect on Ankunftstag (arrival day)?
Sommer 2017 is almost upon us and the first Villagers will be arriving at Waldsee in less than a week! With that, we know that many of you are starting to think about what to pack for Waldsee. This is oftentimes the hardest part about getting ready to come to camp (for staff too!). So we went and asked Jürgen, a sechs (six) year Villager what makes his Top 10 Packing List.
Sending your child away to summer camp for the first time can be scary – especially if they’ve never been away from home before! We know that many first time Eltern (parents) don’t know what to expect, so we went to our staff to see what they think is most important for you to know!
Sommer 2017 is fast approaching and we are getting more excited every day! We are always begeistert (excited), but even more so when families decide to try out our Familienwoche (family week)! Many families are nervous or unsure – it’s a new environment for their kids, and it can be difficult to learn a new language as an adult. But take it from a family that has been coming to Familienwohe for sechs (six) years – take the plunge!
Living and breathing Deutsch (german) is what Waldsee is all about. But sometimes, after a few summers at Waldsee, Villagers may want to do something new. That’s what our Abenteuerprogramme (adventure programs) for two week Villagers are all about! Today, we take a look at Helvetia, our Swiss adventure program.
