Bonjour from Lac du Bois and Les Voyageurs!
Published: November 20, 2019
Vent Frais, which literally means "cool wind," comes from one of the prettiest songs that we sing summer after summer around campfires in northern Minnesota. The communities we build around those campfires, and throughout our summers together, are the heart of our programs. This newsletter is our way of keeping the community connected during the year.
Summer 2020 News
Les Voyageurs:
4-week High School non-credit will be offered twice this summer! This is a new and exciting spin on a Voyageurs classic!

What you can expect:
- Community. Play a larger role in the Voyageur basecamp, let your creativity and passion be your guide, and leave your mark on this magical place.
- Adventure. An Immense Voyage like you've never seen before.
- French. More Living the Language in French.
- New Skills. Something you can't buy in stores - wilderness and leadership skills that last a lifetime.
Lac du Bois - Hackensack:
French Hackensack is expanding opportunities for families and adult learners, because, after all, summer camp is not just for kids! Due to popular demand, we’ve officially added a two-week family session to the books for this summer (FH17/13) alongside our two one-week family sessions (FH19/15 and FH29/25).

Families who have stayed for back-to- back one-week sessions in the past have told us about the exponential growth in learning they see happen in their children and in themselves with a second week in the village. Also, following a successful pilot last summer, we are offering an adult weekend this June (FRA30613) for those who want a boost in French and fun!
French Credit Abroad

Credit Abroad will be back in 2020! We'll begin with two weeks in the credit program of Lac du Bois - Bemidji followed by two weeks abroad. In France we'll see the sites of Paris and the Loire Valley and stay a week with host families in beautiful Poitiers. Join us for our fourth year of French adventure abroad!
While you're waiting for summer, join us for a French Adult Weekend, February 14 - 17, 2020 or an Adult Week, May 10 - 16, 2020. There will be cheese, chocolate and delicious authentic meals, all served-up with a side of French immersion.
