I just wanted to post a couple of updates. First of all, the pictures are in the process of being uploaded right now, so you'll be able to view pictures from the last couple of days under the Media tab located above. (Media >> Photos >> Photos (사진) 2011) Second of all, the WiFi here is pretty spotty so sometimes we won't be able to post pictures or blog entries. However, we'll do our best to post at least once a day!
Today we woke up in time for morning exercise at 8am. After breakfast, we watched our first skit about the Korean folktale of the Nymph and the Woodcutter (견우와 직녀). Then everyone was assigned to their classes based on experience level. They made names and cheers for their learning group and started to learn a little more Korean.
After so many days of preparation, the villagers have finally arrived here at 숲속의 호수! There have been many happy reunions between returning staff and villagers. As for the new villagers, they still look a little overwhelmed, but they've already adjusted to the infectious energy here at camp. Activities today included learning camp songs, eating an authentic Korean meal, and touring the village. We finished off with cabin nights, where the villagers got to know each other better...
Hi everyone! I’m the 2011 Concordia Korean Language Village 숲속의 호수’s web-manager of 2011, Eunhye! Tomorrow is finally 숲속의 호수's opening day. Our staffs are doing the last check-ups on the camp site for greeting our 2011 summer villagers tomorrow.
