New Villagers and the Olympics!

Published: June 26, 2018

Yesterday we said "Tervetuola!" to new villagers and they jumped right in!

The morning started with a game of ketjuhippa and singing time before heading to suomikoulu. Several villagers were chosen as suomimestari and could not speak anything but Finnish for the entire day!

After a delicious lunch and some beach time, villagers had options for Toiminta like sähly, crafts or Settlers of Catan.

For the evening Toiminta, the staff put on a "Olympics" competition with games specific to Finland. Some of the competitions villagers competed in were eukonkanto, air guitar, three-legged race, boot throwing and hobby horse racing. After a quick snack, it was time to say "Hyää yöta!"
