This morning, all the counselors were given fake rubles to give out to villagers throughout the day in preparation for tonight’s camp auction. In order to earn rubles, villagers needed to sing a song, recite a poem, or converse in Russian, as appropriate to his/her level. Participation in general camp activities is also rewarded.
The new I-Day dance was revealed to the credit students today, performed to the song Mauja Hi Mauja by Mika Singh, sung in Hindi.
During free time, the beach opened for the first time this session. This is a sure sign that weather is nice and despite being this far north, we will have true summer weather!
Today, the weather was beautiful as began another wonderful day at Lesnoe Ozero. Hopefully, the water will warm up enough so that the beach will open tomorrow!
