Salut nos amis ! Yesterday was la Journée Internationale (International Day)! In the morning, we had three different villages come to our site to share a picnic style lunch; we hosted the Italian village, Lago del Bosco, the Spanish Cass Lake village, El Lago del Bosque, and the Russian village, Lesnoe Ozero. We loved getting to learn new words and cultural habits! Before, during, and after our picnic lunch, we also danced and sang songs...
This Saturday we had to say goodbye to our two-week villagers. It was a great session capped off by a super-energetic International Day (which I talked about here), but all things must come to an end and while we’re sad to see them leave, we’re happy to be sending them into the world with more French and a wider cultural understanding.
