Did you know that, in addition to our blog, we have channels through which you can get our photo and video content directly? All of our photos are uploaded onto our Flickr account. Our regular blogger Éliénore links the Flickr photo albums to her blog posts, but the photos will often be uploaded somewhat earlier and you have the opportunity to download them from the Flickr page.
I would specifically like to talk about our videos, though. On the Concordia Language Villages YouTube channel, under the username “languagevillages”, we upload videos from all the different language villages. I sometimes have fun just watching all the recent uploads to see what, say, Mori No Ike or El Lago Del Bosque are up to. Videos specific to Lac du Bois are organized in the Lac du Bois playlist. We have uploaded over 200 videos to this playlist with content from 2004 to the present. Some of these videos are villager film projects; others are more candid shots that will give you a good feeling for how villagers interact at Lac du Bois. I invite you to browse the playlist and see what you enjoy. But if the prospect of sifting through hours and hours of video seems intimidating, I’ll highlight a few videos from this past session that you might enjoy. Click inside to watch them!
Read all about our day at Waldsee for La Journée Internationale!
This Saturday we had to say goodbye to our two-week villagers. It was a great session capped off by a super-energetic International Day (which I talked about here), but all things must come to an end and while we’re sad to see them leave, we’re happy to be sending them into the world with more French and a wider cultural understanding. Many of our villagers could stay until noon to do a presentation for their friends and family. Others had to leave very early to catch buses and flights, but we’ve provided some photos and videos so you can catch up on what you might have missed out on.

How many people can say that they had the chance to play the Alphorn, learn how to Swiss wrestle, go on a pontoon boat, play soccer, and learn three new languages all in one day? Our campers had that opportunity today! Look inside for a detailed description of Journée Suisse and the many photos we took.
