Salut les amis! (Hello, friends!)
Today was an extremely delicious day at Lac du Bois, as the theme was Pâtisserie (Pastries). Throughout the day, François, our expert baker, treated us to a variety of baked goods, including crossaints with nutella, raisin cinnamon buns, and brownies with fresh cream and berries. Miam miam! (Yum yum!)
With it being Friday, it was the last full day for our group of two-week villagers. Everyone was in good spirits as these villagers attended their last round of learning groups (explo et stage) and activities (les passe-temps). We also enjoyed les monos (counselors) jump into the lake for the last installment of this session's Plaisirs d'Amour (our camp's soap opera).
As the afternoon came to a close, we all gathered in our main building Paris to celebrate two fun weeks with a banquet and a dance. Les villageois (villagers) donned their best garb as we dined on baked brie, chicken pot pies, baguette, and a cheese plate. Following dinner, we all gathered outside to dance away the end of our session.
After a fun and fruitful evening, everyone shared their favorite memories during their time at Lac du Bois, hugged their friends goodbye, and headed to bed.
