Journée Fromages Français

Bonjour! Today, we learned about the delicacy that is French cheese. It was a beautiful day, and we continued learning about the importance French people put on their food. It could be the reason that France is one of the gastronomical capitals of the world, because there are specific types of cows that can only produce a certain cheese and of course, there are environmental factors, such as nutrition for the cows and their habitat.
During our veillée (evening program), we made pizza in the outside pizza oven! It was a great experience and something very different from our normal routine during the meals. As familles (dinner groups), we learned about French cheese and got to try a few! They were conté, mimolete and le camembert. Each of them comes from a different region in France and each has a unique taste and texture.
We can't believe tomorrow is the last full day of Lac du Bois! We have had so much fun! Enjoy the photos!
