Swedish Residential Adult Weekend

Our Swedish Adult Weekend features Swedish language and culture lessons, activity time, free time and a healthy dose of outdoor activities. Please dress for outdoor weather activities as much of the program will move into the natural surroundings of our Bemidji, Minn. site. Returnees can expect some variations of favorite program components for health and safety. Free time includes time in the Bibliotek, options for taking walks, enjoying the bastu (sauna) or taking a refreshing nap.

Meet the Program Leader

Elise Viktoria Peters is actively engaged in the Swedish community in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. She has spent many years in Sweden and graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a degree in Scandinavian Studies and History. Viktoria has been involved with Sjölunden since the 1980s.
