Immersive learning happens when all aspects of the program— the food, the activities, the language lessons, the casual conversation—happen in the language and within the cultural context of the country where the language is spoken.
Participants are immersed into the culture and language of the country so that all of their senses are engaged in the experience — both in our residential and virtual sessions. It’s the smell of brioche coming from the kitchen while watching a French film. It’s the pulse of the tango music and the percussive snap of the castanets in an activity period. It’s the smell of good, strong coffee while kneading the dough for pulla and speaking Finnish to the instructor. Language and culture are inextricably connected. There’s no other way to learn.
